“This is more than a program,” Crowe says. “It’s a chance to revive something we’ve sorely missed—the chance to connect, to debate, and to grow as a community. Together, we can rediscover the ‘Oregon Way.’”
Crowe brings an impressive resume and a deep commitment to public service to Town Hall. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Crowe went on to serve as a combat arms officer, ranger, and paratrooper. Later, as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate, he practiced law in military courts until his return to Oregon in 2011. He has since earned a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and an MBA from the European School of Management and Technology. Crowe has served as Oregon’s inaugural Veterans’ Advocate, a Mt. Angel school board member, and Chair of the Military and Veterans’ Law Section of the Oregon State Bar. He also stood as the Republican candidate for Oregon Attorney General in 2016.
Bringing Robust Debate Back to Oregon Under Crowe’s stewardship, Town Hall will revive the spirit of fierce yet respectful debate that defines Oregon’s identity—what Crowe calls “the Oregon Way.” The program’s mission is to provide a platform to address the most critical issues facing Oregonians from a diversity of perspectives.
